Games for children? If you are looking for a simple, educational and super fun idea, you are in the right place! The children are at home during the holidays or on a rainy day. Are you wondering how to keep them busy without tablets and TV? The answer is: DIY Battleship.
And do you know what the best thing is? All you need is:
Take a spiral notebook: choose the squared version to make it easier to draw the grid. We used a spiral notebook with 5 mm squares.
Each player will have to draw two 10x10 grids: one to position their ships, the other to mark the hits on the opponent.
Follow these steps:
If you are not an expert in drawing, it doesn't matter. Just create colored squares. Everyone is free to do it as they want and above all draw it as they want and where, within their own grid.
Color them with pencils or markers to make your ships more visible! You can associate each color with a box that is inside your grid.
That's it! Your naval battle scheme is ready.
Now you are ready to start the fateful game.
The game is very simple and exciting. Each player, in turn, “shoots” a coordinate (e.g. B5).
The opponent will have to say if he hit a part of the ship or if the shot was a miss. When a ship is completely hit, it is said “sunk!”.
The goal? Sink all the other player’s ships before he sinks yours!
On our social channels, we have published a video. In this video, we show how the game was made.
The DIY Battleship Game is easy to understand. It is suitable for children of all ages.
